One spring morning in 1940, a group of Danish soldiers are ordered out to prevent the invasion and advance of the German troops in the country. The resistance of the Danish soldiers and the subsequent battles developed dramatically later in the day with heavy losses for the German army.
During the occupation of Denmark on April 9, 1940, Haderslev City became the center of fierce fighting, and you have the opportunity to hear the story of the event, small anecdotes and funny stories.
The tour starts at Duke Hans Hospital Church, where the fighting began as soon as German soldiers could be seen on the horizon.
