Approx. 1,2 km east of Tørning Mølle is Christiansdal Vandkraftanlæg (power plant), where Tørning Mølle took over the power-producing facility in 2017 after the Norwegian Nature Agency, which still owns the building mass. This means that today it is Tørning Mølle that, with the help of a volunteer group of people, operates and maintains the production facility and the interior of the buildings.
In Christiansdal you can experience and see the power plant that back in the beginning of the year 1900 provided half of the electricity consumption to Haderslev city. Likewise, it is Tørning Mølle who, via the guides at Tørning Mølle, conveys the place's 300-year industrial history.
An independent tour of Christiansdal costs DKK 350 per person. guide (one guide takes up to 25 people).
