Join us on a tour with the Pig Cart on Baagø.
The program
- Departure by ferry from Assens Harbour: 10.00:XNUMX a.m
- The pig wagon stops at the garden on Baagø
- The guide tells about the postal route and a map of the trip.
- You drive past Prinsehøjen and Fiskerhusene as well as Klintende.
- A stop is made at Højvandsstenen.
- Then to the north-west end of Baagø, where you can usually see the Lillebæltsbroen, Skærbæk power station, and behind Brandsø ane Skamlingsbanken, as well as see the inlet to Hejlsminde. And not least enjoy nature.
Early on Saturday 30 January 1658, the Swedish cavalry regiments gathered at Hejls and crossed to Brandsø, while the infantry from Stenderup Hage went south to join the main force. The Swedish historian Björn Asker states that the Swedish force at Brandsø amounted to 6-7.000 men.
Then we stop by the church, where the guide explains a lot about Baagø's history, etc.
Lunch and subsequent program
- You can stop at the "Hesterstalden", the island's historic coffee shop and museum, where you can eat a packed lunch and, after an agreed break, drive to the harbour.
- If you prefer to eat at Havnekiosken, you may skip it. over the horse stable and drive to the garden.
