In the middle of Haderslev town is Haderslev Dampark, established in 1958. In the park there are beautiful flower beds as well as a rose garden and a herb garden. The herb garden is free to use.
In the southeast corner is the old Klosterkirkegård with a number of listed burial sites and memorials for fallen soldiers. This is where Peter Hiort Lorenzen is buried.
In the park you will also find 3 playgrounds for both the slightly older and smaller children. You can also take a walk out on the inner pond on the pedal bike that you rent in the kiosk.
At the northwestern end of the park is Gammel Haderslev Church, also called Sct. Severin Church, which is probably Haderslev's oldest church.
