Come and experience the only functioning wind turbine in Haderslev Municipality.
Experience the big wings in swing at Sillerup Mølle
Sillerup Mølle is a windmill located on a hilltop outside the village of Sillerup, about 8 km northeast of Haderslev. In the year 2009, it had existed for 150 years. The mill is one of the largest and best preserved windmills in Denmark. It is equipped with completely original tools and operating equipment, and in good weather the wings are started...
The mill is maintained and works today as a "living" and working mill. The mill's guests get the unique experience of seeing and hearing about the old mill craftsmanship. Experiencing how the mill - powered by the wind or the old engine - grinds grain into flour, which is then turned into bread in the mill's oven house, and then tasting the bread products yourself, is a very fine and fully cast experience. Children can bake their own bread in the mill's oven house. The trip ends with coffee/soda and freshly baked bread.
Date: Every Tuesday in July 2023 between 10:00-13:00
Conducted in Danish and German
Price child: DKK 50. Price adult: DKK 80.

The mill with associated stable buildings, farmhouse, garden, courtyard and a small baking house with an old stone oven, is today owned by the Independent Institution Sillerup Mill, which is also responsible for the operation with the help of the Support Association, Sillerup Mølles Venner.
