Round mill is one of the old well-known South Jutland water mills, and its history dates back to the year 1200.
It is beautifully situated at the bottom of the valley which the ice formed. From the mill hill there is a lovely view over the beautiful landscape.
The round mill has been gently restored, as it looked in 1890 with the stately main building of 1875.
The rebuilt mill and bakery building with thatched roof was completed in 1997
Of course, the beautiful old buildings are always worth a visit, but it is worth noting that the suit exhibition, the ship model exhibition and the grocery store are located on the first floor and only accessible by rather narrow stairs which are not suitable for walking.
For information, the board and the volunteers are in the process of a comprehensive reorganization of the exhibitions at Rundemølle. The rooms are now in a presentable condition, but the board has begun a clean-up and restructuring of the association's archives at Rundemølle, which will take some time. Likewise, there is a change in the collection of garments and this work will probably last most of the autumn of 2018. There is therefore no possibility of fixed opening hours.
However, a visit to Rundemølle can still be arranged after prior agreement with the association's chairman, Alf Madsen, on telephone 74617633 or mobile no. 29214823, preferably between 12-14. Keys to the museum are not lent out and visits will always be accompanied by a board member and/or a volunteer.
It costs 20 kr. person to visit the museum.
