The collection belonged to Louis Ehlers. The collection, which covers all of Denmark and Northern Germany, is housed in one of the oldest, restored houses in Haderslev, built in 1577. The house is next door to Von Oberberg's House in Slotsgade 22, and there is a common yard behind the houses that gives both collections a fantastic setting. Comedy is played in the summer in the beautiful farm.
The house in which the Ehlers Collection is located is an experience in itself. Visit one of Haderslev's oldest and best-preserved houses of its kind. The house is decorated with some of Denmark's finest panels, a fantastic wall painting from the 1600s and goes all the way back to 1577. It is probably the most photographed house in Haderslev.
REMEMBER! Your ticket to the Ehlers Samlingen also gives you access to Von Oberberg's House.
In the courtyard at Ehlers Samlingen, summer service is offered in the courtyard. During the museum's opening hours, it is possible to buy and enjoy coffee and rosé in the cozy courtyard between Ehlers Samling and Von Obergs Hus.
